Why Tomorrowland 2023 Was a Special Time for Dance Music

There’s a lot of exciting things happening in the world of Tomorrow.

Belgium’s Tomorrowland isn’t just a regular festival. It’s like a gauge for where electronic dance music is going.

This year, the festival was even more amazing. The sights were bigger, people from all over the world came, and the performances felt more important than ever before in Tomorrowland’s history. People feel really happy about electronic music in 2023, and the industry is doing really well, even better than before the pandemic.

Back in 2021, David Guetta said that after the pandemic, the best times for dance music would come. Looking at things now, he was right.

Tomorrowland is also spending a lot of money to make things better. Everywhere you look, there’s something cool to see. Like the water show at the Crystal Garden stage, the mind-blowing stuff at Eric Prydz’s HOLO, or the amazing performances by Tale of Us at the Freedom Stage.

There are more than 10 stages with the best dance music, so you can have your own fun during any weekend of Tomorrowland.

Probably no other festival goes all in with their theme like Tomorrowland does. It starts with the festival’s Mainstage. This year, it looked like a big castle with lots of lights and fireworks that made the performances exciting for the artists on the big stage.

Tiësto, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, and others had great performances and surprises, like Kid Cudi appearing during Steve Aoki’s set. Because of this great connection between the artists and the festival, fans feel like they’re part of an electronic music fairy tale.

Usually, Tomorrowland focuses on the popular music of the time. But this year, techno and hard dance were the favorites as EDM music keeps changing.

Hardwell’s big techno set and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s hardstyle show at the end of the Mainstage were big moments that showed how the underground music is becoming more popular at big festivals.

It’s hard to say what dance music is like all around the world in one weekend, especially with not a lot of information. But no matter who your favorite DJ is or what music you like, being at Tomorrowland is an incredible experience that makes fans really hopeful about where dance music is going.
