Ummet Ozcan is a Dutch DJ and record producer of Turkish origin. He was born in Putten, Gelderland.
Ummet Ozcan’s releases on Spinnin’ Records are popular with DJs like Sander van Doorn, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Calvin Harris and Hardwell. Ozcan is also known for his softsynth and soundbank design for well-established music software companies like Rob Papen, and for hardware units such as the Access Virus.
Ozcan has had some great hits including “TimeWave Zero” and “Arcadia” on Doorn Records and “Shamballa” on Reset Records, all sublabels of Spinnin’ Records. In his early years, Ummet Ozcan produced techno-influenced trance music for release under Reset Records.
Ummet’s production began moving towards the electronic dance music movement after about five years. In late 2012, he started playing big room house music with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and R3hab, to be released on the Spinnin label.
He’s been experimenting with other sub-genres in recent years and gradually left big room house behind. He’s produced remixes for artists like Tiësto and Axwell & Ingrosso that are known all over the world.
