The Nervo sisters are a talented DJ duo from Australia. At only 18 years old, they had already signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The sisters have always been close, and their songwriting partnership is one of the strongest in the industry.
The Nervo twins were born in Ivanhoe, Melbourne on the night of 18 February 1982. They told a reporter in 2012 that they “almost have the same birthday”, but said in 2021 that they share a birthday. Olivia was born first. They were reported 27 years old in December 2009.
Dr. Flaviana Benedetti and Dr. Garry Nervo, a dental practice duo, had a family including an older sister, Adele Nervo, and younger brother, Morris Nervo. The family with Italian heritage moved to north of Melbourne, Australia in 1992.The twins, who both attended Genazzano FCJ College in Kew, a girls school, began their careers as models with the Australian Chadwick Models Agency.
The sisters were scouted by a modeling agency when they were sixteen, but Liv Nervo stated in April 2012 that music was always their focus. They were accepted into the Opera Australia Academy, but decided to pursue a music career instead.
A contract was then signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and the duo subsequently embarked on a songwriting career. The pair’s initial recognition occurred following the single “Negotiate with Love”, written for British pop singer Rachel Stevens, which reached tenth position in the United Kingdom.
In 2008, they signed with Fredrik Olsson and his Swedish music publishing company Razor Boy Music Publishing. This led to co-writing the Grammy Award-winning single, “When Love Takes Over”, performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland.
