Morten Breum, or more commonly known by his stage name Morten, is a Danish DJ and producer. His music career started back in 2008 with his track “Højere Vildere” featuring the Danish duo Nik & Jay. However, it wasn’t until his track “Domestic” in 2010 that he had his real breakthrough, reaching No. 3 on the Danish singles Chart.
Morten released his album Drop! in 2009, followed by Nightclub Session in 2010. Since then, he’s explored the genre of “future rave” with a string of releases.
Morten has been gracing some of the world’s biggest festivals with his presence, including Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Sunset Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and EDC Orlando.
Morten has had the pleasure of playing at festivals all over the world, both solo and in collaboration with French DJ and producer David Guetta. The two close friends coined the future rave genre, releasing a four-track collaborative EP in 2020 titled New Rave. Morten has gathered an audience of 4.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon!
In 2021, Morten made his debut on the DJ Mag Top 100 at an impressive number 39. His placement on the 1001Tracklists ranking was even more impressive, coming in at number 20.
In 2022, his music video for “Dreams” won the highly coveted Best Highlight Video at Clubbing TV’s Music Video Awards. That same year, he played the mainstage at EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland, as well as a residency in Ibiza with Guetta – further cementing his place as one of the most in-demand DJs in the world.
