Contrary to comments made by deadmau5, who had suggested that many high-profile festival sets are pre-recorded, Guetta emphasized that DJing is all about reading the crowd and connecting with them. He further acknowledged having heard the commentary, but stated that it is possible to have the best of both worlds when it comes to live shows, just like the iconic French duo Daft Punk.
“I always refused to do it,” Guetta said of pre-recorded sets. “I was very frustrated, but now I get to have the best of both worlds, which is to really DJ and to have a perfect show simultaneously.”
